About Me

Pat Lohmann
Granada, Andalucia, Spain
I'm here in Granada, Spain, for a year taking intensive language classes and working on a documentary as a senior project for the University of New Mexico Honors Program. Before coming here, I worked as the editor-in-chief of the New Mexico Daily Lobo and as a city desk intern for the Albuquerque Journal. I have worked as a freelance news writer for the Weekly Alibi, where I wrote a 3,500-word feature story on the Gulf Oil Spill, and for the Gallup Independent. During my year here, I hope to produce a documentary on a topic of real importance that tells real stories, and I'll be using this blog for updates as I work on the project. Here's a breakdown of my equipment: -Canon 20D DSLR still camera -Canon VIXIA HFR100 video camera -Audio-Technica ATR6550 Shotgun microphone -Audio-Technica lapel-clip microphone My somewhat-interested girlfriend, Emma, has a PentaxK10D, and she is a much better photographer than me. I'll have her help every once in a while.
