4-November protests, Granada, Spain

Here's some footage and a few stills from a second, albeit smaller, protest in Granada on a rainy Friday evening. I figured out how to get my microphone working, so you can hear the 300-or-so protesters as they walk down the street.

In the last scene of the video, a Domino's employee hands a flyer to a protester, and the protester crumples it up.

His action's were either a poignant metaphor for an anti-corporate message of the movement, or maybe it's just that he already had post-protest dinner plans.

And here are a few photos:

15-O Protests in Granada, Spain

These are a few random moments from the protests in Granada, Spain, on Oct. 15. More photos are below. At least 10,000 people attended, and I heard chants that sounded similar to ones I've seen from Occupy Wall Street protesters on TV; also, many protesters held signs that said " We are the 99%" and "No More Evictions". This particular demonstration occurred in around 80 countries, according to some fliers, and huge numbers of people showed, particularly in Madrid. The atmosphere here was amazing.

I am working on a documentary during my year here, and I look forward to understanding the similarities and differences between the movements here and at home. This blog will (hopefully) be updated with footage, photos and other good stuff as I work on this project.
